Cafe Julia at YWCA Wedding: Brad + Mari
Mari contacted me almost two years in advance to set the date for her wedding to her sweetheart, Brad. After getting to know them, it was an easy sell to know that they were going to be a great couple to work with!
After shooting their engagement session here on island (you can check out their session here), I couldn't wait to see them on their wedding day and how beautiful they would both be photographed...I was wrong and underestimated it.
They were not only just beautiful, but their love for each other was so sweet and delicate that you couldn't help but blush and fall in love with them every time they were together. <3
Venue: Cafe Julia at YWCA // Wedding Coordinator: ABC Weddings
Mari wore classic J. Crew shoes to prepare her for the long day ahead.
The morning was beginning nice and fresh, with Mari's best ladies beside her on her very special day. They each got their hair & make up ready and as soon as I arrived, they seemed so flawless!
This is my favorite moment, and I always make sure I look out for it in hope that I don't miss any amount of emotion expressed as she watches her daughter transform into a beautiful bride.
After trying on just one dress at Papers & Petals Bridal, Mari picked a stunning one that I thought complemented her so well.
I could imagine that this is the day we look forward to, like any bride that takes the time to plan their day. One thing to be sure is to surround yourself with those who love and support you - Mari received just that. Everyone was moved in that room while Mom got her ready with finishing touches on the veil and jewelry...
Mari received beautiful pearl earrings from her soon-to-be-husband, as well as a heartfelt handwritten note expressing his love and devotion to her...the anticipation of the day heightened <3
A simple "Thank you and I love you" can mean more to one than any could ever imagine...
Few moments left before heading to the ceremony site, we shot of few of Mari in her hotel room. She was completely effortless, stunning, breathtaking..need I say more?
One final hoorah with the men on Brad's wedding day. They each looked groom and spectacular
The couple decided to see each other first before the wedding...a moment shared together that cannot be explained, only experienced.
On a good day, having fun with the wedding party are great ways to gain some fun yet memorable shots.
With mismatch patterned champagne ties from The Tie Bar, they each had an individual charm to the pack.
This front door at Cafe Julia YWCA is a great touch to some stunning portraits.
Navy & black: my two favorite combinations. I loved the ludlow suit from J. Crew Brad sported.
I asked them to put their heads together, close your eyes, breathe, and take in this very moment, not taking any second for granted. <3
These images are timeless. Not just to remember an amazing day, but to make it last forever.
When you're marrying your best friend and nothing else matters...
With Mari's love for old world details, a gold-tipped feather was implemented along with hand written lucite plate cards for the guest.
One of the cutest cake toppers to witness!
Another successful wedding to put in the books! I was honored to be apart of your special day, Brad & Mari. Many blessings to you and your marriage. <3
